SED was proud to support one of our strategic clients and partners, The Sovini Group, as Platinum Sponsor for their first Golf Day of 2026.
Held on Thursday 30th April at Childwall Golf Club, the event brought together colleagues, clients, partners and supporters from across the region for a brilliant day of golf, fundraising and community spirit. Most importantly, the day raised over £15,000 in vital funds for Sovini Charities.
The Sovini Group’s Golf Days do far more than bring people together for a good cause. They help champion the work of a wide range of grassroots organisations and local initiatives that make a real difference across the region. Through Sovini Charities, funds raised go on to support meaningful projects that create lasting change for those who need it most.
Past initiatives supported by Sovini Charities have included children’s and youth organisations, sports teams and activities, veterans groups, and community Christmas projects. That wider impact is a big part of why we are so pleased to continue backing these events.
At SED, supporting local communities matters. Being involved in events like this is not just about sponsorship – it is about playing a part in something that has a genuine and lasting benefit for people across the region.
Marc Redfern, Managing Director at SED, said:
“We are continually proud to be The Sovini Group’s Platinum Sponsor on their golf events and assisting in the support of the local charities. Long may it continue.”
The day itself was a great success, helped along by glorious weather and a fantastic turnout from businesses across The Sovini Group’s supply chain. Alongside the golf, there were mini competitions across the course, including longest drive and nearest the pin, as well as an evening charity auction hosted by comedian Willie Miller.
Dr Roy Williams, CEO of The Sovini Group, said:
“The Sovini Group Golf Day is one of my favourite days of the year – it’s great to get together with colleagues, clients and partners to raise money for charitable good causes and to support people who make a difference in our communities every single day.”
James Flannery, Operations Director for The Sovini Group, added:
“It’s been fantastic to see so many local businesses here to support Sovini Charities. The money raised today will be redistributed to good causes, reflecting the values of The Sovini Group. What we do is all-encompassing – providing homes for people who need them, providing quality through social value and opportunities, and the Golf Day focuses on the charities the business supports.”
We would like to congratulate The Sovini Group on another successful event and thank them for inviting us to continue supporting such an important cause.
SED is continually proud to stand alongside clients and partners who are committed to making a positive difference – and this was another great example of business, community and charity coming together in the right way.
