As an independent electrical wholesaler based in Merseyside, we don’t just serve the local trade — we’re part of the community. Our social responsibility focuses on supporting grassroots organisations, community centres, charities, and sports clubs that bring real value to people’s lives.
Over the past few years, we’ve proudly supported a wide range of initiatives, including:
- Break Free – raising awareness around recovery and mental health support
- The Big Help Project – tackling poverty, hunger, and homelessness across the region
- Netherton Community Centre – a vital local hub serving the community’s everyday needs
- Heron Junior Football Club – inclusive football for young people of all abilities
- Regenerus – empowering social enterprises and community organisations
- Pride of Sefton Boats – offering free educational and wellbeing-focused boat trips
- Billinge Juniors FC – helping local children build confidence through sport
- The Armed Forces Covenant – supporting current and former service personnel
- Pilkington FC – Lilies – promoting grassroots girls’ football in St Helens
- FC Bridgewater – inclusive football opportunities for all age groups
We’ve also made targeted contributions, such as donating £1,000 to help the homeless during the Christmas period, supplying white goods to Netherton Park Neighbourhood Centre, and providing air fryers to help with community cooking efforts.
Environmental responsibility is just as important to us. We actively support campaigns focused on net-zero goals, work with manufacturers that share our sustainability values, and stock energy-efficient products to help reduce carbon emissions across the supply chain.
In recognition of these efforts, SED Ltd was shortlisted in the Aico Community Awards for “Best Distributor Community Initiative” — a proud moment for our team and a reflection of the values we hold.
